Mary and Erik held their reception in November of 2009 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club's Sunset Ballroom. Photographer Kelly Burns was there to help capture their special day.

"After our engagement, we began looking for the perfect place to host our wedding reception. The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was the first venue we went to see and we were welcomed by John Wilson as he lead us on a fantastic personal tour. We fell in love with the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club at first site. John’s warm personality, the gorgeous grounds and the beautiful Sunset Ballroom convinced us that the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club was the perfect location for our sunset wedding reception.
Erin Janes, Wedding Director, covered every detail and she and her staff were impeccable during planning process. Our wedding took place at the United States Naval Academy Chapel on November 21, 2009, followed by our reception in the Sunset Ballroom at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Our guests were in awe of the beauty of the Beach Club and its surroundings and Erin and her staff attended to every detail with perfection. The hors d’oeuvres were to die for and the entrees were absolutely delicious.
A fabulous time was had by all and our wedding will surely be remembered by our guests as one of the best weddings ever. We were delighted when mother nature cooperated and we were treated to a beautiful sunset on the bay from the shores of the Beach Club. Our engagement began with the sunrise and we would begin our new life walking into the sunset together."
About the Photographer:
Kelly's first camera was placed in her hands as a preteen. Since then, she has not been able to put it down. Her love for the art of photography seeps through each image she creates. Her photos have the ability to draw the viewer into the heart & soul of the moment she's captured on film.
Her philosophy in photography is simply...keeping it real. She prides herself in encapsulating cherished moments that go mostly undetected by her subjects. In other words, she's more interested in the honesty of any given moment than by what occurs as soon as a camera is detected. The result -- raw, unrehearsed, emotional exchanges. Or, real life painted on film.
